Who is Magdalena?
I am Magdalena, a 59 year old woman, residing in a Sharies apartment in Paris 9 Édouard VII since late August 2021. Before embarking on the coliving adventure, I lived in Puteaux with my children.
How did you hear about Sharies?
I discovered the concept of coliving thanks to a friend working in the real estate sector. The concept immediately seduced me, and I found a beautiful apartment ideally located overlooking the rooftops of Paris at Sharies.
What seduced you with Sharies' Coliving formula?
What particularly attracted me to Sharies was the all-inclusive concept. The rent covers all expenses, so there are no unpleasant financial surprises. What's more, Sharies offers a dedicated concierge service for residents. In the event of a problem, the rapid and responsive intervention of a dedicated person makes daily life a whole lot easier.
Sharies for me is like living in a hotel, but not in a hotel.
The friendliness of the coliving at Sharies also conquered me. Finding a friendly presence when returning home is very pleasant. This avoids feeling alone and offers opportunities for exchange after a day of work. Of course, it is possible to enjoy moments of tranquility in your room, but the common areas are always lively, and that’s what I like.
I plan to stay with Sharies for a few more years, while waiting for my retirement to buy a house in the countryside. Currently, the living environment and the people I meet make me want to stay here all my life.

How is your experience with Sharies going so far?
My experience with Sharies is excellent. I particularly appreciate the family aspect without really being a family. The solidarity between roommates is palpable, and there has never been the slightest conflict within the roommate.
What is your favorite room in your apartment?
I don’t have a favorite room in the house. It depends on the days, sometimes the bedroom, sometimes the living room. For example, on December 31, I was alone in the apartment, and although I enjoyed this temporary solitude, the living room seemed empty to me. Usually full of life and conviviality, the living room had lost its meaning without my roommates.
A good memory to share with your co-tenants?
There are so many good memories, but I will share a few. Recently, to celebrate the arrival of a new roommate, we went together to Big Mamma for a very fun and full of laughter evening. Last week, I prepared a tartiflette that we all shared, a friendly and delicious moment. Finally, the cooking classes given by one of my roommates are also memorable memories, because I am not an expert in cooking.
What advice would you give to someone arriving in a new city?
If it was a friend, I don’t know if I would recommend coliving, because my friends are all my age, 57, and I’m not sure they would be open to this experience. However, personally, I would recommend anyone to experience coliving with Sharies because of the exceptional quality of service.
What advice would you give to someone moving into Sharies?
If I were to advise someone moving into Sharies, it would be to remain open-minded. Living in this setting allows you to meet many people, and openness is an essential quality. I would also recommend proposing rather than imposing ideas on other roommates.
Your perfect day?
I don’t have an ideal day, every day at Sharies is already ideal for me. I like to spend time with my roommates and get to know them. An ideal day is everything I already have, great roommates and a friendly atmosphere.
Your dream celebrity as a roommate?
I wouldn’t want to live with a celebrity! It must be complicated. Or if not, a completely untamed person like Courtney Cox!
What’s your favorite food?
My sweet sin is the ham shells. It’s simple, but so good. With the others of the apartment, we like to make guacamole all together.
A movie you watched with your roommates?
We don’t really watch movies together. My roommates tried to make me watch Squid Game, but it was a failure, I didn’t get hooked at all. It wasn’t really my department.
