Who are you?
My name is Clémence, I am 24 years old, and I work for a pharmaceutical company in the suburbs of Brussels. I discovered Sharies through their website while searching for accommodation, specifically looking for a co-living space. I moved into Sharies in January 2023, and I currently reside in the Brussels Alsemberg house with 7 other residents.
How’s your experiment going so far?
My stay at the Brussels Alsemberg house has been very good so far. I particularly appreciate the spacious common areas, like the living room and kitchen, as well as the presence of a gym. Additionally, the location of the houses is very convenient. The private rooms with bathrooms are also well designed, offering some privacy when needed.

Can you tell me about the events organized by Sharies?
The Sharies experience is enriching. Indeed, every month, our Residence Manager organizes an activity, either within our house alone or in collaboration with other Sharies houses in Brussels. Recently, we had a delivery of chocolates for Easter, followed by a raclette evening in each house.
We also had a laser game evening with all the Sharies houses in Brussels. What I appreciate the most about these events is the friendly time spent with my housemates, as well as the opportunity to meet other Sharies residents.
Discovering the monthly events organized by Sharies was a pleasant surprise when I arrived, something I didn't expect. Looking forward to each new monthly event has become a cherished part of my Sharies experience, adding a social and fun dimension to my stay.
What type of activities do you do?
Within the Brussels Alsemberg residence, we often organize board game nights. Outside the house, we regularly meet for drinks in downtown Brussels after work. On weekends, we usually share a meal together at home.
Are these events something you look forward to?
I really enjoy the Sharies events, and what motivates me to participate in them is the opportunity to engage in activities I wouldn't usually take part in, like guided tours of Brussels with interesting anecdotes or laser games. I also appreciate the time spent with my housemates and the chance to meet other Sharies residents in Brussels.
The atmosphere at these events is friendly and relaxed. Participating in these activities definitely helps strengthen social bonds and create a warm atmosphere outside the house, making me feel more connected to my roommates at Sharies.
Do you have a particular memory with your housemates that you would like to share?
We organized several raclette evenings this winter with all the housemates, which was very pleasant. Additionally, I really enjoy organizing movie nights with the other girls in the house.
